Apple Vision Pro 2023 Details

Apple Vision Pro 2023 Details

Apple will likely release a less expensive version of the Apple Vision Pro headset sometime in 2025, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. That is due to the clear limitations of the $3,499 price tag and the lack of broad market appeal of the Vision Pro as a product.

According to the Gurman article, the business considered delaying the price of the Apple Vision Pro’s release owing to bad press, but decided to let everyone 9 months to adjust. On the other hand, the upcoming headset, which is probably going to be branded merely Vision or Vision One, will seek widespread use. Apple might choose cheaper panels, a weaker processor, fewer cameras, or a requirement for AirPods to use the spatial audio functionality.

Apple Vision Pro Will Be Released Soon

Apple will, however, make an effort to keep some of the essential components, such as the hand-tracking technology and the external EyeSight panel. A second iteration of the Vision Pro is reportedly in the works, with Apple aiming for a 2025 release. The Vision Pro will cost $3,499 at launch, according to Apple’s debut presentation at the keynote for the WWDC. We do not yet have pricing for other nations because the headset will initially only be offered in the United States.

Interestingly, according to one leaker, Apple only pays $1,509 for each Apple Vision Pro it produces. If accurate, such a profit margin would be substantial. Don’t anticipate the Vision Pro to be a device for the general public given its exorbitant pricing. According to rumors, Apple is developing a less expensive Vision Pro for 2025 that will be missing some of the more expensive capabilities.

There can be significant supply chain limitations with the present version of Vision Pro. There is a claim that Sony, the company that makes the Micro OLED displays for the headgear, can only produce 100,000 to 200,000 screens every three months. That means that due to the expensive displays its headsets use, Apple might only be able to produce 400,000 headsets annually.
