Is The Brand-New Roborock S8+ Dual Vacuum Truly $1,000 Worth It?

The recent range of robot-vacuums from Roborock S8+ was introduced in April this year, and it already occupies prominent positions in Mashable’s buying guides. Each of those robovacs uses the same basic technology, and for our review, I tried the Roborock S8+, a model from the mid-range.

Due to the pile of robovacs vying for space in my house right now, I can confidently say Roborock has produced one of the greatest robot vacuums on the market as of 2023. I tested several vacuums and helped test the top mop hybrids and robot vacuum for Mashable.

The Roborock S8+ Series With Essentials Only:

For this review, I was eager to finally test out Roborock S8+’s latest chain of vacuums. Three bots are available in the S8 series:

  • A mop combo and robot vacuum, the Roborock S8 costs $799.99.
  • A self-emptying mop and robot vacuum, the Roborock S8+ costs $999.99.
  • A self-cleaning, self-emptying, and self-drying combo mop and robot vacuum is the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra. ($1,499.99)

LiDAR mapping, obstacle detection, multi-floor mapping, and sound cleaning are all features shared by the three robots. The S8+ is arguably the greatest choice for the majority of people as this self-emptier. It was quite simple to set up, and after the brief charge, it was prepped up to use. The Roborock S8+ provides a cleaning time of three hours when completely charged. Its auto-emptying trash container holds garbage for 60 days. Honestly wonder if I might recommend this device to perhaps a friend, the answer would be a definite yes, however, with a single exception.

This vacuum is pricey while on sale for $799.99. The S8+ can be excessive for consumers on a tight budget or those who live in smaller homes.
