Apple TV+ is known for its fantastic comedies, and a new series joining their ranks in early 2025 is generating excitement. Titled The Studio, the first trailer has just been released.
‘The Studio’ Features a Hollywood Setting and a Star-Studded Cast
The Studio takes place within the vibrant world of Hollywood filmmaking, created by Seth Rogen. Not only is Rogen starring in the show, but he is also its writer, director, and executive producer. This marks his second comedic project with Apple, following last year’s Platonic.
The series will launch on Wednesday, March 26, with the initial two episodes available on Apple TV+, followed by weekly installments until May 21. A total of 10 half-hour episodes are planned.
Here’s a brief overview of the show:
In “The Studio,” Rogen portrays Matt Remick, the newly appointed leader of the struggling Continental Studios. As the film industry faces challenges to remain viable and relevant, Matt and his team of bickering executives wrestle with their insecurities while dealing with egotistical artists and relentless corporate bosses in their quest to create exceptional films. Encased in fashionable suits that conceal their constant anxiety, every social event, set visit, casting choice, marketing discussion, and award ceremony presents them with a chance for either stunning success or career-ending disaster. For Matt, who lives and breathes movies, it’s the career he has long sought—and it could be his undoing.
As highlighted in the trailer below, The Studio boasts an impressive lineup of stars. Joining Rogen are:
- Bryan Cranston
- Catherine O’Hara
- Kathryn Hahn
- and Martin Scorsese, who makes a special cameo
DMN’s Perspective
The Studio promises to be a delightful addition, debuting right after the conclusion of Mythic Quest season 4, ensuring that Apple TV+ will deliver engaging comedy content every week for much of the first half of 2025.
