Ranking Claims Apple as the Best-Managed Company in the US

This year’s Management Top 250 ranking from the Drucker Institute identifies Apple as the most efficiently run company in the U.S., surpassing Microsoft which held the position for the last four years. Microsoft has now dropped to third place, while Nvidia has climbed to second.

According to The Wallet Street Journal (via Apple News+), the tech sector was particularly prominent in this year’s rankings:

  1. Apple: 92.1
  2. Nvidia: 90.1
  3. Microsoft: 88.8
  4. Intel: 78.5
  5. Mastercard: 75.7
  6. Johnson & Johnson: 75.5
  7. Procter & Gamble: 75.2
  8. Alphabet: 74.2
  9. Adobe: 73.9
  10. Philip Morris International: 73.8

Here’s the methodology behind these rankings:

The Management Top 250 ranking utilizes the late management expert Peter Drucker’s principles to assess the best-managed companies. This year, 842 organizations were evaluated across five categories (customer satisfaction, innovation, social responsibility, employee engagement and development, and financial strength) using 35 indicators from third-party data sources. The ranking’s statistical model was developed by researchers at Claremont Graduate University’s Drucker Institute, with calculations interpreted in collaboration with Bendable Labs, a private analytics firm.

DMN’s Take

I have a feeling Intel may not be in the top 10 next year…
