Roy Kent in a Sci-Fi Romance? Why Not!

Brett Goldstein has truly become a key collaborator at Apple TV+.

After captivating audiences with his phenomenal performance in Ted Lasso, the actor has recently started guest roles in Shrinking, a series he co-created with the mind behind Lasso.

Shrinking is wrapping up its outstanding second season, and preparations for Ted Lasso season 4 are in progress, yet Goldstein has already secured another project with Apple TV+.

One might say he’s omnipresent.

All of You

All of You is the latest venture for Goldstein, in which he stars and co-writes.

Here’s how Apple describes the film:

When an innovative test that pairs soulmates comes between two close friends, they embark on a twelve-year journey resisting the temptation to disrupt their life paths — marriage, children, and tragedies — despite the undeniable connection they share.

The film is set to premiere in 2025 on Apple TV+. It has already graced the festival circuit, being showcased at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival.

Goldstein will be joined by Imogen Poots, who plays his love interest. The film is directed by William Bridges, known for his work on Black Mirror, who also collaborated with Goldstein on the script.

According to Apple, All of You is described as “a humorous and heart-wrenching romantic drama.” However, as noted by Variety, it possesses a sci-fi angle that aligns well with director Bridges’ style.
