Apple has confirmed the renewal of its acclaimed sci-fi series Silo for both season three and season four, which will wrap up the adaptation of Hugh Howey’s well-loved book series.
As the show continues airing its second season on Apple TV+, this renewal announcement is sure to delight its devoted fanbase. It appears that filming for the third season already started earlier this month.
While not officially stated, it is believed that production for both season three and season four is being conducted concurrently. No specific release dates have been disclosed as of yet.
Apple has yet to release viewer statistics for the second season, but previously indicated that Silo had become the leading drama on its streaming service last year.
New episodes of Silo’s second season are being released weekly, with the finale scheduled for January 17.
Tim Cook announced the renewal on Twitter earlier today. Reports suggest he visited the UK set last week to express his support for the show’s production.
