As we near the conclusion of the year, Instagram is launching a new feature for reflecting on the past year. This year, you will have the ability to craft a collage for your Instagram Story to showcase your most cherished moments from the year.
Creating Your Instagram 2024 Collage
According to The Verge, the new “2024 Collage” option will be available through the “Add to story” section of the Instagram app. You will notice a new choice for creating the collage while crafting a story, making it incredibly convenient to gather your favorite photos from the year into one story.
Alongside the “2024 Collage” feature for celebrating the year’s highlights, Instagram is also introducing several other temporary features:
Instagram is launching additional temporary features, including “Add Yours” templates themed for the end of the year, allowing friends to respond to your story with their own contributions. There are also fresh “New Year” and “Countdown” text animations, festive chat themes for DMs, along with special phrases like “happy New Year” in notes and DMs that trigger unique effects.
These features are being rolled out currently and will be accessible until the first week of January. If they are not visible on your Instagram account just yet, check back throughout the week.
