Apple has launched the first public beta of several upcoming software updates, including macOS Sequoia 15.3, iPadOS 18.3, tvOS 18.3, and more. Here’s what’s included.
How to install the new public betas
You can download and install the latest public betas by participating in the Apple Beta Software Program.
If you have previously installed public beta software, your device should remain enrolled.
After enrollment, you can obtain the latest updates directly from the Software Update section in your device’s Settings app.
What’s new in the macOS 15.3 public beta and more
The recent software updates from Apple introduced an extensive range of new features. Therefore, it’s not surprising that these latest betas show only minimal changes at this stage.
A significant new addition is the introduction of Genmoji on the Mac.
This feature, already available to iPhone and iPad users since the release of iOS and iPadOS 18.2, was previously missing from macOS.
Now with the launch of the first macOS 15.3 beta, Mac users can utilize this Apple Intelligence feature as well.
In addition to Genmoji, Apple is also enabling robot vacuum support within the Home app, which will affect all of its devices featuring HomeKit control, including iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K, and more.
That sums up the changes in these latest beta releases.
We hope to see more new features emerge in beta 2 and subsequent versions, but it is understandable that Apple opted to hold back in this pre-holiday cycle.
