Shazam boasts over 300 million monthly users and has recorded more than 100 billion song recognitions since its launch, enabling it to effectively identify breaking artists—a function that has proven valuable for both fans and musicians over time.
The predictions from last year showcased remarkable talent, with two-thirds of the listed artists making it into Apple Music’s Daily Top 100 across 150 countries, and a third entering Shazam’s National charts in 46 nations. Compared to the previous year, the 2024 Predictions artists experienced an impressive +34% growth in Shazam matches, a +146% increase in Apple Music streams, and a +269% rise in radio plays.
Apple has disclosed the first 10 of the 50 artists, with the initial day highlighting dance music.
Today marks the launch of “Shazam Fast Forward 2025,” a revised list of annual predictions spotlighting 50 artists likely to shine this year.
Beginning today and continuing through Friday, Shazam will reveal 10 artists each day across various genres such as Dance, Latin, Alternative, Rock, Country, Pop, and Hip-Hop/R&B. Apple emphasizes that each featured artist has exhibited multiple success indicators.
Every artist on the list has displayed early signs of growth, including consistent momentum in Shazam activity and emerging trends in multiple countries.
The following are the 10 dance artists included in the list.
Prophecy
This Spanish DJ duo gained attention on Shazam in May 2023, particularly in Romania and Argentina. Their collaborations with David Guetta on “Kill The Vibe” and Tiësto on “My City” propelled them into charts in Denmark, Hungary, and Croatia. Prophecy’s primary markets for Shazam activity include the US, Germany, and Mexico, where they’ve also featured on Apple Music’s Top Dance Songs chart across more than 50 countries, with nine making it into the top 10.Khathapillar
