Aqara, a leading smart home brand, has unveiled an impressive lineup of nine new products at this year’s consumer electronics show. However, the majority of these innovations will not be available in the US until later this year.
The range includes a large touch-screen panel that functions as a smart light switch, a controller for various smart devices, a Zigbee hub, and a Matter bridge compatible with Aqara Zigbee devices.
The company showcased its latest offerings at CES 2025.
Aqara aims to enhance user-friendly, intuitive interactions with the introduction of its first in-wall control panels designed for the global market. The new products include the Panel Hub S1 Plus, Touchscreen Dial V1, and Touchscreen Switch S100 US. With sleek touchscreen designs, these devices provide centralized control for the entire smart home, allowing users to manage their devices and scenes effortlessly without needing a smartphone. Aqara also revealed plans for its next-generation dual-protocol smart switches – the Light Switch H2 and Dimmer Switch H2 – for the North American market.
Interoperability is central to Aqara’s approach, as the company continues to expand its Thread portfolio with new sensors and Border Routers. The Presence Multi-Sensor FP300 serves as a battery-operated, multi-sensing solution for detecting human presence and monitoring environmental conditions. Meanwhile, the Climate Sensor W100 enhances indoor climate management. The expanded Matter Controller line includes the compact Hub M100 and the Doorbell Camera Hub G410, which improves both home security and connectivity.
The highlight of the event is undoubtedly the touchscreen controller, the Panel Hub S1 Plus.
This premium in-wall panel allows comprehensive control of the entire smart home through a single interface, enabling users to intuitively manage their home environment without relying on a smartphone. It replaces standard light switches and is wired for control and automation of up to two lights. Equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi and a 6.9″ touchscreen, the panel can wirelessly operate a variety of devices, including cameras (with live view functions), door locks, thermostats, lights, curtains, and more, while also triggering scenes and routines. Additionally, the S1 Plus functions as a Zigbee hub and Matter bridge for Aqara Zigbee devices.
The company anticipates launching the panel later this month in Europe, with plans to debut in the US later this year.
Availability for the remaining new products is scheduled between this quarter and later in the year.
This announcement follows the recent release of the Aqara Smart Lock U300 in October, which supports Apple Home Key, Matter, and Thread, as well as a new water valve controller launched last month.
