For years, Satechi has been my preferred source for Apple accessories. Their range of hubs, docks, chargers, and stands are consistently stylish, functional, and align perfectly with Apple’s design ethos. Recently, they’ve introduced something thrilling for Mac Mini M4 owners—a new hub and stand featuring built-in SSD storage, showcased at CES 2025.
Here’s what you should know!
The Mac Mini M4 Stand & Hub with SSD Enclosure is custom-designed to elevate Apple’s latest Mac Mini, equipped with front-facing ports, rapid data transfer capabilities, and increased storage space.
Here’s what’s included:
- USB-A 3.2 Ports: Experience transfer speeds reaching up to 10Gbps—transfer thousands of files in mere seconds.
- SD Card Reader: Transfers at speeds of up to 312MB/s, ideal for swift photo and video moving.
- Built-in SSD Enclosure: Integrate up to 4TB of NVMe storage for backups, media libraries, or large-scale projects.
Creatives will appreciate the SD card slot alongside the USB A ports for peripherals still reliant on USB A. This hub effectively transforms the M4 Mac Mini into a compact Mac Studio!
Design
As always, Satechi excels in design. The aluminum construction complements the Mac Mini’s clean aesthetics, while intelligent features create an effortless user experience:
- Rear Power Button Access: No more awkward stretches—the hub features a dedicated port for the Mac Mini’s power button.
- Heat Dissipation Vents: Keeps your Mac Mini cool during demanding tasks.
- Cable Management: Facilitates organized setups with an integrated plug-and-play cable.
The recessed top secures the Mac Mini, making this hub feel like a seamless extension of the Mac Mini M4.

Final Thoughts
In my opinion, Satechi’s Mac Mini M4 Hub is an essential addition to Apple’s newest mini power device. I’m a big supporter of the M4 Mac mini, but I do find myself missing the SD card slot and the option to connect wireless peripherals through USB A. This hub not only amplifies usability but also enhances the overall look. I’m planning to incorporate this into my workspace—and if you’re a Mac Mini user, I recommend you do the same. Keep an eye out for a thorough review once we have a chance to test it!
