During CES 2025, Hyper introduced the HyperSpace Trackpad Pro, a groundbreaking product. Until now, Apple’s Magic Trackpad has been the sole premium multi-touch trackpad available outside of built-in laptop options. Hyper seeks to change this narrative, creating a trackpad that performs excellently for Windows users as well.

Trackpads have typically posed challenges for Windows machines, often suffering from issues like low sensitivity, a lack of multitouch capabilities, or inadequate palm rejection, which results in a frustrating user experience. Moreover, desktop users have limited choices.
Even on the Mac, Apple is virtually the only brand providing a high-end external trackpad solution.
The HyperSpace Trackpad Pro aims to tackle these challenges head-on. It boasts premium features, including support for multitouch gestures, effective palm rejection, and fine-grained control. Its design is wedge-shaped, equipped with two rubber feet underneath, crafted from aluminum, and topped with a glass surface.
The price is set at $129.99, comparable to Apple’s Magic Trackpad, with shipping expected to commence towards the end of Q2 2025, likely in May or June. The battery life lasts for one month and charges via USB-C.
Additionally, Hyper is launching a palm rest accessory that allows users to comfortably position their hands next to the trackpad, mimicking the experience of using a laptop.
Hydra app
Furthermore, Hyper is developing a new application for Windows called Hydra, which will enable users to create custom shortcut zones, assign deep clicks on the trackpad to specific actions, and set up application-specific profiles for tailored shortcuts across different programs.
At their CES Unveiled booth, Hyper indicated that achieving a similar level of deep customization for Mac users is possible, albeit with a longer development timeline.
Overall, it’s a thrilling time for creatives, power users, or anyone seeking an enhanced trackpad experience on Windows! Additionally, it’s refreshing to witness innovation in this area for Mac users, especially considering that Apple currently dominates this market with the Magic Trackpad.
As previously mentioned, the HyperSpace Trackpad Pro is set to launch in late Q2, but you can register on Hyper’s website to receive updates about its release.
