A fresh beta 3 update has been rolled out by Apple. This comes shortly after the introduction of beta 3 for tvOS and HomePod exclusively, followed by the same for watchOS 11.3.
New beta pushes software updates nearer to release
The ongoing beta cycle from Apple has been relatively low-key.
Currently, watchOS 11.3 does not introduce any exclusive features.
In a broader context, Apple has announced support for new robotic vacuums within the Home app on compatible devices, addressed issues with the Calculator app, and introduced Genmoji on Macs.
However, these are nearly the only significant updates noted thus far.
In the previous year, Apple’s x.3 updates were also lacking in features, leading to an unexpectedly swift conclusion of the beta cycle.
A similar scenario could unfold this time around.
Last winter, Apple only put out three beta versions before moving on to the release candidates (RC), suggesting a potential repetition of this trend.
If this shorter beta cycle transpires, we might anticipate public access to these updates within the next few weeks, ideally before January concludes.
It is important to remember that Apple needs to launch beta 3 for its flagship iPhone, iPad, and Mac systems first. However, as of now, those updates are still under wraps.
