Apple Launches Beta 3 of macOS Sequoia 15.3 and visionOS 2.3

Apple has rolled out new beta versions for macOS and Vision Pro, with macOS Sequoia 15.3 and visionOS 2.3 beta 3 now available for developers.

macOS 15.3 introduces Genmoji to the Mac but not much more

The latest beta software from Apple has thus far shown minimal new features.

For macOS 15.3, the standout addition is the introduction of Genmoji.

These animated emojis, previously found only on iPhone and iPad, are now integrated into the Messages app on Mac.

No other major updates specific to Mac have been identified in the initial beta releases. Additionally, visionOS 2.3 has not revealed any substantial changes either.

However, today’s beta 3 release might bring some surprises.

We’ll update you with any new findings as we explore this release.

To download the latest update, navigate to System Settings/Settings app ⇾ General ⇾ Software Update.

If you’ve already been using beta software, the beta 3 update should appear right away. Otherwise, you might need to enable ‘Beta Updates’ and select the developer seed first.

This could be among the final betas ahead of public releases. Last year, Apple’s beta cycle for x.3 versions was quite brief. If history repeats, we may soon see RC (release candidate) versions debuting.
