Apple announced today that its worldwide installed base has reached an all-time high. Nevertheless, the growth rate for active devices has decreased compared to last year.
Currently, there are 2.35 billion Apple devices actively in use globally. This new figure marks an increase from 2.2 billion in January 2024, equating to a growth rate of 6.8% with 150 million new devices added over the year.
In January 2023, Apple revealed that its active device count had surpassed 2 billion, setting a previous record. Thus, Apple has added 200 million devices between 2023 and 2024, resulting in a 10% growth rate.
Apple appears optimistic about growth prospects, particularly with the impending launch of Apple Intelligence in China. Scheduled for April, iOS 18.4 will include support for Simplified Chinese as well as several other languages.
According to Apple CEO Tim Cook, sales of the iPhone 16 have surpassed those of the iPhone 15 in regions where Apple Intelligence has been available.
