Threads Now Enables Users to Share Custom Feeds with Others

Last year, Meta unveiled notable upgrades to the Threads timeline, enabling users to design custom feeds and select their preferred default feed. Now, Meta is introducing yet another feature for Threads: the capability to share these custom feeds with others.

Sharing Custom Feeds on Threads

As demonstrated by Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Threads now includes an option for users to share their custom feeds with others. This allows other Thread users to view and save the curated feed you’ve created with selected accounts. It’s an excellent way to share a technology news feed with a friend, for instance.

To make your custom feed public on your profile, simply tap and hold the feed you crafted at the top of your Threads app, then select “Edit feeds.” You’ll find a “Public” toggle—just turn it on. The method to share a custom feed with someone is quite similar; instead of adjusting the toggle, tap the “Share Feed” button to send it as a link or DM.

Custom feeds can be found in the top tab of the Threads app’s home screen. Additionally, a shared feed can be pinned to the home screen for easy access.

“Since the launch of custom feeds last year, users have been creating feeds centered on popular interests such as sports, books, art, astronomy, fashion, poetry, design, and more, enriching the vibrant communities and dialogues on Threads,” Meta informed DMN.

The sharing of custom feeds is currently being rolled out globally to all users. The Threads app is available for free on the App Store. Ensure you update to the latest app version to access the new features.
