Sonos Is Set To Launch Its Second Wireless Speaker

The FCC documentation of Sonos indicates that the company is planning to launch a Bluetooth speaker very soon. The portable speaker will be the second one of its kind launched by the company.

Though there has not been any official announcement on the part of the company, the device is enlisted in the recent FCC documents. The speaker is enlisted as the model number- S27.

According to the testing diagrams of the model, the device will have wireless technology and a rechargeable battery.

Features Of The New Sonos Speaker

Diagrams of the speaker demonstrate a wireless charger, Bluetooth technology, and adaptability of wireless technology of WiFi 5. The new product is said to have a lower power consumption capability in comparison with the previous speakers of the company like Sonos Move.

The portable speaker will also have a smaller size than the previous models. The company has revealed that the circular label design will appear on the product’s bottom surface. The label also indicates that the speaker may have a cylindrical look like the UE Boom Bluetooth speaker.

While the existing speaker of the company i.e. Sonos Move has the measurement of weight and size which assists to produce amplified sound but it is not easy to carry. It has a weight of 6.6 pounds that does not make it quite handy to use. Thus the company is yet to launch a speaker that can be carried in a bag easily as an all-time travel partner. The latest S27 shows a promise in this regard. 

S27 will also be the first Sonos speaker that will support Wi-Fi 5. Bluetooth technology along with the latest Wi-Fi will surely enhance the performance of the speaker.

The FCC includes a user guide that mentions a 20 cm distance from the device should be maintained to limit the Radio Frequency exposure.

While further details about the upcoming speaker are yet to be released, gadget-lovers are excited to have a better experience of sound and portability.
