This new feature will make your Ring Video Doorbell more reliable and helpful that can roll out smart responses, check-in what is happening at your doorstep, keep a track of children playing outside, or strangers coming up to the house. The best part is that you can customize the way you want your Alexa to respond when she answers the door. You can set a pre-recorded audio clip, set Alexa to make notes of everyone who comes to the door, record messages for the visitors when they opt to. You can even direct your deliveries to a location or even ask Alexa to notify the visitors were to leave the package.

This new feature is named Alexa Greetings and you can avail of this if you have a Ring Protect subscription that costs $3 per month.

Along with these response settings, Amazon is also about to launch a Quick Replies feature that will be operative on most doorbells. If you go for this feature, visitors will hear canned responses such as ‘can’t answer the door right now’, ‘please leave a message’, ‘try again later’, or ‘leave the parcel outside’, and so on.
