The new Fitbit Luxe has been announced which is a fitness tracker that seems to be the Inspire 2’s fashionable version. The news had leaked the previous week. However, Fitbit is now making the device official by saying that it can be preordered starting 19th April.
Specifications Of The Fitbit Luxe
The device has a price tag of $149.95. Six months’ worth of Fitbit’s Premium service is included in this price. The service had recently launched Deepak Chopra’s new program called Mindful Method. It has more than 30 videos and audio sessions on wellness and mindfulness.
The Luxe Fitbit’s specific date of release is yet to be specified. However, the company wants to release it in spring, so the wait should not be too much.
Fitbit’s Luxe is designed to suit a wide range of skin tones and wrist sizes and for wearing it 24×7. The company states that Luxe is Fitbit’s thinnest tracker with a touchscreen so far. Moreover, Fitbit believes that most people can sleep comfortably while wearing it. As such, the company claims a single charge can make it last five days.
The Fitbit Luxe also comes with a silicone strap that is interchangeable and supports quite a few size adjustments. More straps are expected to come with the official launch such as more color variants of silicone bands at $29.95. There will also be bands of woven fabric, leather, stainless steel, and premium stainless steel links.
The device is aimed at people who want to wear a fitness tracker that doubles as jewelry. Fitbit even went so far as to mold by injecting metal to create the device’s case made of stainless steel. The tracker does not have any buttons, and all inputs are to be given through the OLED color touchscreen. It will support all Android and iOS devices.
