The premium Garmin Venu 2 smartwatch has received an upgrade for 2021. Now, there are two size variants instead of the singular 43mm one. The two sizes are a larger 45mm with an OLED screen measuring 1.3 inches; and a 40mm one with an OLED screen spanning 1.1 inches.

Both variants will have the option to always stay on. Both of them will cost the same as the previous one, $399.99. Apart from the different sizes for the case, there are very few visual changes for the Garmin Venu 2. The touchscreen wearables look slick. A big update has been made in the battery department. The original’s battery lasted five days as a smartwatch. However, the bigger Garmin Venu 2 claims it can last 11 days if the smartwatch has light usage. With GPS usage and music streaming over Bluetooth, the battery can reportedly last for eight hours. This is two more than the predecessor.
Amazingly, the smaller variant will also reportedly have better battery performance, lasting ten hours and seven hours respectively, for the two types of usage. The company created an entire page providing the details behind this improved battery life prediction as well as how to make your own based on your particular activities. Garmin Venu 2 reportedly also has faster recharge rates. The watches can run for a day when charged for just 10 minutes.
The watches also come with a host of sensors like one for ambient light, a thermometer, an accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, a pulse oxygen sensor, and one for heart rate. They will also have NFC and have Android as well as iOS compatibility.
