It’s almost May, which means there will be new Pokemon Go events and improvements to look forward to.
In May 2022, here’s a glimpse at what’s going on in Pokemon Go. Players will have an encounter with Alolan Grimer every time they achieve a Research Breakthrough from May 1, 2022, at 1 p.m. PT through June 1, 2022, at 1 p.m. PT. As a reminder, participants will earn a Research Breakthrough if they complete at least one Field Research task on seven different days (not necessarily consecutively).
Pokemon Go Has Many Events Lined Up For May
During the month of May, the following Pokemon will appear in Tier-5 Raids:
Therian Forme Landorus will be available till May 3 at 10 a.m. local time.
Tapu Fini begins on May 10 at 10 a.m. local time and ends on May 25 at 10 a.m. local time.
Tapu Koko, Tapu Bulu, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Fini – May 25 at 10 a.m. local time to June 1 at 10 a.m. local time
Mega Raids
In May, five Pokemon will appear in Mega Raids. The following is the schedule:
Mega Kangaskhan is open till May 3 at 10 a.m. local time.
Mega Latias and Mega Latios will be available from May 3 at 10 a.m. local time through May 10 at 10 a.m. local time.
Mega Blastoise begins on May 10 at 10 a.m. local time and ends on May 25 at 10 a.m. local time.
Mega Altaria will take place from May 25 at 10 a.m. local time through June 1 at 10 a.m. local time.
Each Wednesday in May, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, there will be a Raid Hour event. During each event, more Tier-5 Raids will occur in Gyms than usual, featuring the Pokemon that are currently appearing in Tier-5 Raids. The following is the schedule:
Mega Latias and Mega Latios will be released on May 4th.

Each Tuesday in May, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., a Spotlight Hour event will take place. On May 21, there will be a Pokemon Go Community Day. Alolan Geodude will appear in it.
