Samsung has an exciting line-up all prepared to unveil in this year of 2021. This line-up includes 4K along with 8K TVs that are QLED. Additionally, Samsung will also be launching the brand new control system of Eco Remote.
Samsung has claimed that the Eco Remote has been designed for reducing several tons of wasted plastics every year.
Eco Remote: A Step towards An Advanced Future
The all-new Eco Remote is being made from almost 28% recycled plastic. In addition, Samsung has also promised to continue its efforts towards reducing the adverse impacts on the environment.
From the outside look, Eco Remote appears to be just like all the other regular TV clickers produced by Samsung and other companies over the recent years. On the other hand, if the user turns the control, they will be able to see an elongated panel that includes the solar cells. These solar cells charge the inner battery.
Alongside, the remote has been created from almost 31 grams of plastic. Samsung has informed that 28% of this plastic has been derived from polyethylene terephthalate which is recycled.
According to the estimate given by Samsung, a user will be able to use Eco Remote for a period of 2 years. The battery will remain charged for 2 years’ time and will have to be charged again.
Generally, the inner battery will last for approximately 7 years. This is certainly going to save us from purchasing regular pairs of AAA batteries as well as reducing plastic waste. Eco Remote also includes a USB-C port at the bottom.
Samsung is committed to eco-packaging in 2021 and has decided to remove the oil-based ink. They have planned on expanding their eco-friendly efforts across all their products.
