Lenovo Launches New Yoga/Slim Series

The Lenovo Slim 9i, 7i Carbon, 7i/7 Pro X, and 7/7i are the latest additions to Lenovo’s Slim line of premium ultrabooks (Yoga Slim outside the US). Slim and light laptops with Intel or AMD CPUs are available in 14 and 16-inch sizes. Let us look at the range.

The Lenovo Slim 9i is the flagship model, featuring a 14-inch OLED touchscreen display that can be set to 2,880 1,800 pixels at 90Hz or 3,840 2,400 pixels at 60Hz. Both panels have a 16:10 aspect ratio, use 10bit colors, and cover the whole P3 color gamut. Four Bowers & Wilkins tuned speakers surround the keyboard, providing audio. They chose 12-generation Intel Evo processors, with either a Core i5-1240P or a Core i7-1280P at the helm, 16/32GB dual-channel LPDDR5 RAM, and a 512GB/ 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. The laptop’s integrated graphics card is Intel’s Iris Xe. 

Lenovo’s New Line Has Impressive Stats

Lenovo provided the Slim 9i with a large 75Wh battery, which is charged using the USB-C connector. Two USB-C PD ports that also serve as DisplayPorts, one full-sized HDMI 2.1 connector, a USB-A port, a microSD card reader, and an audio jack round out the I/O options. When folded, the laptop measures 17.35m and weighs 1.43 kg. The new Slim 9i is priced at $1,799 and will be available in June.

The Lenovo 7i Pro X/7 Pro X features a 14.5-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 3,072×1,920px and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the 7 Pro X, you may pick between Intel’s 12-generation H-series CPUs or AMD’s Ryzen 6000HS Creator series.

The Lenovo 7i Pro X will be available in June for $1,699, whereas the Slim 7 Pro X will be available for $1,499.
