Android 13 Will Soon Be Updated On Asus And Its Sub-brand ROG

The Android 13 upgrade plan for ASUS and its subbrand ASUS ROG’s array of gaming smartphones, including the Zenfone, was just released. The roadmap, which will start in December of this year, was made public on their official global Facebook page.

Asus Plans To Roll Out The Updated Smartphone By December 2022

As for the ROG Phone 6D, ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, ROG Phone 6, and ROG Phone 6 Pro in the ROG gaming smartphone series, ROG announced that Android 13 will begin to roll out to those devices in the first quarter of 2023.

Beginning in July 2023, the ROG Phone 5 series and ROG Phone 5s series will receive an update to the most recent version of Android.

Regarding ASUS devices, the manufacturer disclosed that starting next month, the Zenfone 9 would have Android 13. The update for its predecessor, the Zenfone 8 series, will start in January 2023.

Keep in mind, though, that ASUS and ROG made it clear that this is merely a general timescale and that the real period may vary based on locales and circumstances. ASUS Malaysia and ROG are available as of this writing.

Beginning in July 2023, the ROG Phone 5 and ROG Phone 5s series will both receive the most recent Android OS update.

Concerning the devices, the manufacturer disclosed that the Zenfone 9 would start receiving Android 13 starting next month. The upgrade will start in January 2023 for its predecessor, the Zenfone 8 series.

Note that ROG made it clear that this is merely a rough timeline and that the real timing may vary depending on the location and other factors. Malaysia and ROG Malaysia have not yet disclosed the Android 13 update roadmap for their devices in our nation as of the time of writing.
