This fall’s release of Alan Wake 2 will signal the completion of a task that previously seemed insurmountable for many players. Remedy used to wait a long time between releases, only putting out six games in all between 1996 and 2012, but since then, they’ve ramped up the pace, releasing four console games since 2016 and a fifth this fall.
In addition, the team has a record amount of projects in production outside Alan Wake 2 this year as part of a deliberate drive to produce more.
Alan Wake 2 Is Being Developed
Here is a list of all the projects Remedy has so far disclosed it is working on, along with a special section based on some conjecture on one particular project. Remedy has been granted the keys to the Max Payne kingdom once more in the era of video game remakes created from scratch. Players will be able to access both tales with only one payment, according to Remedy, who is responsible for the games’ distribution as one package.
The fictional protagonist of Alan Wake 2, Alex Casey, who is legally different from Max Payne, was later inspired by Max Payne. Rockstar later produced and released Max Payne 3, Payne’s final game, independently of Remedy in 2012.
Rockstar claims that Remedy was the one who aggressively sought the job for the remake. “We were overjoyed when our close companions at Remedy contacted us about recreating the very first Max Payne games,” stated Sam Houser, creator of Rockstar Games. Remedy is well-known for its single-player narrative-driven games, but it’s attempting something different with Condor, a project code-named as a multiplayer spin-off of Control. Just like other Control games are and will be, 505 Games will publish the four-player PvE experience. It is being developed for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC using the Northlight Engine, just like other planned projects.
