On Monday, Amazon made things a little simpler for its users. The new feature that was released would make it easier for people to surf the reviews on the Amazon marketplace. The new Amazon AI is a new feature introduced that would help in highlighting the common themes across multiple consumer reviews, which would further be summarized for them. The AI will not be writing any customer reviews, but it would be reading the existing reviews, and helping the user in analyzing them to find the common themes, after which it would be summarizing them for people who are shopping for the product.
If this feature is enabled, users would be able to see the summary on the feature page of the product. After that, one would be able to explore the tabs of specific product attributes- like Performance or Ease of Use, in order to bring up specific customer reviews that bring about these topics.
Amazon AI Could Make Things Easy For Users
The new Amazon AI, according to the company, will primarily be involved in gathering information from reviews of its verified purchases. Vaughn Schermerhorn, the director of community shopping at Amazon, wrote that the new AI-generated review would highlight only those reviews from the company’s trusted review corpus from verified purchases. This will further ensure that customers are easily able to understand the opinions of the community at a single glance. Currently, the feature is only available to some of the US mobile shoppers.
The new Amazon AI is one part of the AI push of the company. In the early part of the year, the cloud computing arm of the company, Amazon Web Services, started offering AI-powered tools for the developers, as well as the companies. Just like every other company this year, Amazon has gone ahead and expanded the use of generative AI.
