Apple Takes Action Against Advertising Private Parties During Pandemic

A particular American app that promotes some privately held parties during this COVID-19 pandemic is being removed from the App Store of Apple.

One such app operates under the name of ‘Vybe Together’. They advertise their app under a tagline mentioning their private community status and request the audience to join as well as host their parties on their app.

Pandemic Party Apps Overruled By Apple

In one of the recent TikTok videos, the person with the account has claimed that they organized secret parties every weekend throughout the coronavirus pandemic. TikTok has vowed to make a comeback even after the entire platform, as well as the website, was taken down by Apple. TikTok made a post on their Instagram account stating that despite being taken down by App Store, they will return very soon.

At first, the users of the specific app have to submit their profile along with their Instagram account and the photographs showing them partying to get approved. After being activated, users may request joining parties.

Successful candidates might be sent addresses only a few hours prior to the main event. The co-founder of the app has stated that they had some thousands of users while several thousand awaiting their approval.

The TikTok video showed people partying and advertised as a party for New Year’s in NY. On the other hand, the government of New York is presently allowing gatherings, both outdoor and indoor, limited to a maximum of 10 people. Additionally, restaurants and bars are pushed indoors as well.

TikTok informed that the account had been removed for violation of community guidelines. The account included just 139 followers with 3 videos.

Vybe Together is still unavailable to respond or comment on the matter.
