Apple Discontinues iMacs Of 21.5-Inch As Rumors Of Upgrades

Apple’s iMac of 21.5-inch 4k Retina display seems to be the next iMac going under discontinued production. The one before this was iMac Pro. And the goodbye may just be fitting.

Rumors swirl that Apple is gearing up for a new upgrade. Hence, the discontinuation. But not all of it will be gone— or isn’t just yet. The iMac seems available only with options in Fusion Drive of 1 TB or 512 GB. And for the followers of the tech-giant, they will know that there were more options before this. One could also go for 1TB SSD or 512 GB as other options.

The last time Apple upgraded the model was in 2019.

Rumors Of New Apple Product-Upgrades

In the earlier days of the month, someone close to Apple said that it altogether stopped producing iMac 4K. One can see now that the products are no longer seen on the official website as well. The last upgrade had intel processors of the 8th generation. It also had newer graphics and more storage options.

The iMac Pro, as well as the HomePod, was also discontinued in production. Hence, the Apple Silicon iMac may just be coming way sooner than expected. Another rumored product here is a redesign of the iMac with a chip from the M series.

In another source, it was mentioned that the firm was geared for releasing more MacBook Pros that would be high-end and entry-level desktops. It said that the firm was under work for M1’s successors. It allegedly has 20 CPU cores. It was built with 4 efficiency cores as well as 16 high-performance cores.

There are also rumors of a keynote by Apple in April. This, in turn, may be to launch the iPad Pro 5th generation that has display technology of mini-LED.

Other options other than the 21.5 inch iMac are the 27 inches with 5K iMac.
