Apple iCloud users noted issues with iCloud drive, and the system status page after Christmas day but the issues were “resolved” soon afterwards, according to latest reports.
Apple users who got their iPhone 12, iPad or Apple Watch in the last few days reportedly did not have the best time after purchase. Apple iCloud outages were disturbing the smooth functioning of the new gadgets on Christmas morning. However, Apple later posted an official statement later that day, around 2 p.m. PT, that the issue regarding Apple iCloud sign-in was fixed.
The statement mentioned that the issue was majorly related to the iCloud Drive activation, sign-in, calendar and Contacts. These are highly used locations; however, the official statement did not contain any other specific information such as the number of users affected by this issue, or whether this is a permanent solution or a temporary fix and so on.
Apple iCloud Faces Outages Owing To High-Capacity On Christmas Day
This is not the only time that such problems have crept up. Similar problems were faced by Apple users during early November. And the company had soon posted a “resolved” notification. But Apple users are worried that such problems will continue to linger in the future as well.
Apple further noted that there were issues related to the Apple iCloud ID sign-in. Apple users left a series of queries regarding the problems they were facing on Christmas day. The company replied to the Twitter queue saying that they were currently facing high capacity that was impacting the smooth running of the iCloud. The company’s Support Page tweeted further requested users to try again after a few hours.
The holidays are a busy period with lots of people unwrapping their new iPhones or tablets as holiday presents. The company notes that there is a rush for activation especially during the holiday season. This might have been the source of the recent Apple iCloud issues.
