Apple Reveals Limited Edition ‘Year of the Snake’ AirTag Exclusively in Japan

Each year, various companies introduce special items inspired by zodiac signs to celebrate the New Year in Japan. As we approach 2025, designated as the Year of the Snake, Apple has unveiled a limited edition AirTag featuring a distinctive snake design.

Apple Japan’s website has been refreshed to highlight their New Year’s promotion, running from January 2nd to January 5th. During this period, customers in Japan can receive Apple gift cards of up to ¥30,000 (approximately $190) with the purchase of select new Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, or Macs. The gift card value varies based on the product purchased.

Here’s a list of eligible products:

• Beats Solo Buds, Studio Buds+, and Beats Flex: Up to ¥6,000 gift card
• Magic Keyboard for iPad and Apple Pencil (2nd gen and Pro): Up to ¥6,000 gift card
• Apple TV 4K and HomePod: Up to ¥8,000 gift card
• iPhone 14, iPhone 15, and iPhone SE: Up to ¥11,000 gift card
• Apple Watch SE, Series 10, and Ultra 2: Up to ¥11,000 gift card
• AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 2, and AirPods Max: Up to ¥12,000 gift card
• 10th gen iPad, M2 iPad Air, and M4 iPad Pro: Up to ¥15,000 gift card
• M2 and M3 MacBook Air: Up to ¥30,000 gift card

Along with the gift card, the first 50,000 customers to purchase a new iPhone 14, iPhone 15, or iPhone SE during the promotion will receive a limited edition AirTag celebrating the Year of the Snake. Unfortunately, Apple will not be selling the Year of the Snake AirTag separately.

It is important to note that certain premium products, such as the iPhone 16 and MacBook Pro, are excluded from this offer, as is the newly launched iPad mini 7.
