Apple has announced plans to enhance its retail footprint in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the launch of its online store scheduled for 2025 and several physical stores expected to debut in 2026.
Building on the establishment of its developer academy in 2021, Apple intends to further invest in Saudi Arabia by launching the Apple Online Store in the summer of 2025. This initiative promises to deliver “exceptional service and support directly from Apple in Arabic for the very first time.”
Subsequently, multiple retail locations will be opened in the region, with the first store anticipated for 2026. Apple is currently in the early planning phases for a store situated in Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
In a statement, Apple CEO Tim Cook expressed:
“We’re delighted to expand our presence in Saudi Arabia with the upcoming launch of the Apple Store online next year, followed by the first of several flagship Apple Store locations in 2026, including a remarkable store at the breathtaking site of Diriyah.”
“Our teams are eager to strengthen our relationships with customers, and to bring the best of Apple to inspire people across this country to explore their passions, build their businesses, and elevate their ideas.”
This initiative is part of a broader strategy to grow in Saudi Arabia, where the company has invested over 10 billion SAR in the last five years. Moreover, Apple reports that earnings from the App Store for developers in Saudi Arabia have surged by more than 1750% since 2019.
Additionally, Apple is set to introduce express transit support for the forthcoming Riyadh metro, joining a network that already encompasses over 250 cities.
