Today, Apple launched significant updates for iOS 18.4 and visionOS 2.4, introducing two new applications: the ‘Apple Vision Pro’ for iPhone and ‘Spatial Gallery’ for Vision Pro. Here’s everything essential about these latest offerings.
Introducing ‘Apple Vision Pro’: The Latest iPhone App in iOS 18.4
For many years, Apple has provided a standalone ‘Watch’ app on the iPhone for managing and setting up your Apple Watch.
With iOS 18.4, a similar concept has now been introduced for the Vision Pro.
The newly unveiled ‘Apple Vision Pro’ app serves as a dedicated hub for:
- accessing your Vision Pro’s model number, software version, and serial number
- finding tips and the user guide for Vision Pro
- exploring new and trending Vision Pro content, including immersive videos, apps, games, and more

Upon opening the app, you’ll find a single-screen Discover page that allows you to scroll through various stories related to the latest updates and content for Vision Pro.
This interface resembles the browsing experience found in the App Store’s Today tab.
If you own a Vision Pro, the Apple Vision Pro app will automatically install on your iPhone when you update to iOS 18.4. For others, it will be available as an optional download from the App Store.
Additionally, the second new app launched today is Spatial Gallery, which is introduced for Vision Pro users through visionOS 2.4.
Spatial Gallery serves as a dedicated space for all your available spatial media: photos, videos, and panoramic views. However, its capabilities extend beyond that.
Here’s the comprehensive description from Apple:
Spatial Gallery, a novel app for Apple Vision Pro, showcases spatial photos, spatial videos, and panoramas curated by Apple, offering users a glimpse into captivating moments across art, culture, entertainment, lifestyle, nature, sports, and travel, with fresh content added regularly.
At its launch, users can explore stories and experiences from renowned brands such as Red Bull, Cirque du Soleil, and Porsche; delve behind the scenes of Apple Originals like Severance, The Studio, and The Morning Show; and engage in discussions with prominent artists like Bad Bunny, Charli xcx, and Keith Urban.
I’m eager to see how frequently Apple updates the content in Spatial Gallery, providing new incentives for users to explore the application.
