BBC News was the first to cover the outage reported in the UK.
According to Downdetector, which monitors website incidents, over 10,000 users indicated that the AI chatbot developed by OpenAI was inoperable in the UK on Thursday.
Users faced a notification stating, “the web server reported a bad gateway error.”
Since then, additional reports have confirmed that many users in the US are also affected.
OpenAI has acknowledged the issue and stated that they are working on a solution.
