Cyberpunk 2077 did not run as smoothly as expected. Following the huge popularity of the game, the several bugs in the game came as a surprise to gamers. However, Marcin Iwinski, the gaming company, CD Projekt Red’s co-founder offered a detailed explanation along with an apology for the problems in the game’s interface.
Cyberpunk 2077 was launched last month with several bugs that remained unfixed post its launch. People who played this game in Sony’s PS4 or Microsoft’s Xbox One complained about major issues that they were facing. The bugs in the game especially hit these two gaming platforms along with new devices like PS5 or Xbox series.
Cyberpunk 2077 CEO Explain What Went Wrong With The Game
The CEO mentioned in a statement that the game had good reviews when played on PC. However, Cyberpunk 2077’s console version is the one with major issues. The game has failed to meet the required standards. He shared an online video explaining all the details that went wrong with the game and why it was performing the way it does when played using gaming consoles.
He further stated that the video’s main purpose is to publicly accept and own up to all the problems in Cyberpunk 2077. Iwinski also requested his viewers to not find fault in his team-workers.
He explained that they had planned on perfecting the gaming experience on PCs and later move on to fixing the console version. However, this was a wrong estimation of how the gaming community functions, he mentioned. The major problem, Marcin added, was that the team had to constantly update the in-game steaming system. He mentioned that his studio faced constant challenges regarding the old consoles that resulted in the gamers facing issues. Moreover, owing to the Covid-19 situation, they lost the required efficiency to keep up the smooth running of the game.
