Dell XPS 15 Review

Dell XPS 15 Review

The outstanding Dell XPS 15 laptop from 2022, which received a perfect score of five stars from us, was updated in 2023. Although the design and features of the 2023 model have mostly remained the same, there are some significant differences between the two, both good and negative.

The same light silver chassis that distinguishes it from many of the other top Ultrabooks is visible from the outside. The weight is equivalent to most thin and light laptops, yet the chassis still has a wonderful, substantial feel to it. The previous model’s chassis, which was likewise a work of art, is also used here.

Dell XPS 15 Is A Powerful Device

The display on the Dell XPS 15 (2023) is a magnificent 15.6-inch HD+ screen with a choice of FHD+ (1920 x 1200) or OLED 3.5K (3456×2160), as mentioned in our Dell XPS 15 (2022) review. The port selection is also rather impressive, with Type-C and Type-A USB ports, an HDMI port, an SD slot, an audio jack, and other features. It lacks an ethernet port, and having just one Type-A connection keeps it from being ideal.

As with every Dell laptop, there are several configurations and specifications to pick from, depending on your needs.

As a result, it performs remarkably evenly, handling just about any creative or productive work that is thrown at it. It also has stronger GPU compatibility than the 2022 version, with the 2023 version having the extra benefit of ray-tracing.

The Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra has an RTX 4050, but the GPUs appear to be less potent in some ways, and in other benchmark tests, the 2022 XPS 15 outperformed it as well. Now we have to decide whether the Dell XPS 15 (2023) is worthwhile.
