The well-known console emulator Delta has received a significant update. The latest version now allows users to engage in online multiplayer for Nintendo DS titles.
Experience online multiplayer Nintendo DS games with Delta
According to a post on Bluesky, version 1.7 of the Delta emulator for iOS brings Online Multiplayer capabilities for Nintendo DS games. This feature utilizes community-hosted alternative Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (WFC) servers, as the official DS servers for online play were discontinued by Nintendo in 2014.
With the updated version of Delta, simply select your desired server within the emulator settings. There’s no requirement to alter DNS or manage complicated configurations.
Titles that support online multiplayer on the Nintendo DS include Mario Kart DS, Pokémon, and Animal Crossing. You can access a full list of all supported games here.
Alongside the addition of online multiplayer, Delta 1.7 enhances the emulation experience for Nintendo 64 games, enables users to upscale resolution, and allows the use of custom texture packs. Additionally, players now have a quick screenshot option and various bug fixes have been implemented.
Delta 1.7 is available now on AltStore PAL for users in the EU and will be rolling out globally on the App Store shortly. You can download it at no cost.
