Amazon has recently introduced the Echo Buds 2, the second generation of its earphones. The new earbuds, which are truly wireless, comes with a design that is much more comfortable than the originals because they are smaller by 20%. They also come with an enhanced version of active noise cancellation.
Overview Of The Echo Buds 2
The price tag for the Echo Buds 2 is quite aggressive from Amazon. It is currently available for $119.99 only for the device along with a charging case for USB-C. At $139.99 an enhanced case that supports wireless charging is available as well. However, there is a special discount on both sets, with the regular retailing at $99.99 and the enhanced retailing at $119.99. The Echo Buds 2 is going to be launched on 13th May.
Apart from making them smaller, Amazon has worked on improving the comfort in the Echo Buds 2’s design. As such, the buds now sport vents in their design similar to the Pixel Buds and Apple’s AirPods Pro. It will help reduce excess pressure in the ear.
Furthermore, the nozzle has been shortened. So the buds do not sit too deep in the ear canal. The buds’ external depth has also been reduced so that it fits more comfortably in the ear. The tips are oval now and come in four sizes. The box also comes with two optional sizes of wingtips.
The outside of the Echo Buds 2 is now matte unlike the original. They also come in two color variants now: white and black. As for what’s inside, Amazon is no longer borrowing from Bose. As such, the company claims the newer model cancels noise two times more effectively. In the mode for passthrough, the user has the option to adjust how much ambient noise should be allowed.
