Elon Musk Has A Human Side, Astronaut Doug Hurley Revealed

Doug Hurley was left with a lasting impression by Elon Musk.

Previously, the space race was solely between nations. It’s now a battle of the wealthy. Elizabeth Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin (“Free Solo”) were working on their latest documentary, “Return to Space,” at the time. Only the United States, Russia, China, and entrepreneur Elon Musk have successfully launched a space spacecraft into orbit and returned it to Earth.

The documentary “Return to Space” focuses on Elon Musk’s breakthrough firm SpaceX and its patient and impatient goal to send people back into orbit. “Return to Space,” a new Netflix documentary on the entrepreneur’s two-decade quest to reignite America’s space travel goals, is the topic of the entrepreneur’s two-decade endeavor. Hurley and Bob Behnken, two astronauts, are followed as they board the SpaceX Crew Dragon spaceship in 2020.

Elon Musk Cares About The Safety Of His Crew And Staff

With the liftoff from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, SpaceX became the first private corporation to transport humans into space, snapping a nine-year launch drought for NASA astronauts from home soil. Since the shuttles were retired in 2011, NASA had been depending only on Russia to transport people to the space station.

The 55-year-old former US Marine Colonel, who resigned from NASA in 2021 after 21 years of service, sat down for the video and reflected on his time working with the 50-year-old and how it influenced his life. Hurley claimed he met Musk early in the process and was pleased by his “knowledge of the technical problem” when asked what his first impression of him was. He went on to say that the tech billionaire wants to understand and be a part of the entire process to get to the bottom of the problem.

According to Hurley, Musk’s safety was a major concern for him, and Musk assured him that he would be reunited with his family. A typical misperception about Musk, according to the former astronaut, is that he is weird and disconnected. However, he has “a real human side to him.” Musk talked to every employee, and even the interns, before the launch, revealed Hurley.
