The year’s largest gaming event, the Game Awards 2022, took place and passed, leaving behind a trove of discussion and fresh trailers for us to rewatch over the vacation. In between game declarations, uncomfortable on-stage conversations, and world premiere trailers between a game designer and Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards 2022 followed the illustrious legacy of the event.
There was an obvious feast this year. The future appears to be very promising after what has felt like a brief drought in terms of releases and announcements. Street Fighter 6, some DLC, and the surprise announcement of a pair of significant sequels, Hades II and Death Stranding 2, were shown to us.

One can progress through Dracula’s Castle All The Way Up To His Throne Room in Dead Cells’ new DLC, which isn’t just ordinary DLC but one with a Castlevania theme. It will be released in 2023. One may experience the recognizable Hellboy comic universe in 3D with Hellboy Web of Wyrd. Lance Reddick is also using that voice.
A quick glance at the game PSVR2 Horizon, where one can fight devices in bizarre 3D surroundings and receive a bow and other rewards. At the awards, Atomic Heart, a game similar to Fallout but with a Russian twist, gave us fresh material to watch. We won’t have to keep looking forward to getting it because it comes out early next year as announced in the Game Awards 2022. Before the Game Awards began, we saw more of the difficult-looking sci-fi fantasy action shooter Scars Above. It will be released in early 2023.
Early in the evening of the Game Awards 2022, the After Us global premiere trailer, which appears to be a platformer with an environmental plot, premiered. Hades II, the first sequel from Supergiant Games, introduces Melinoe, Zagreus’ sister, along with a brand-new plot, tools, and foes.
