Facebook Has A Heart Called Chris Cox As A CPO

Chris Cox is the Chief Product Officer of Facebook. Last June, when the company shook from its shoulders due to the George Floyd protests, it was Cox who had stepped up. At the tech-giant, the employees hoped more from their leader as well. They were explicitly upset with how the firm had handled the post by the-President, Trump. His post had said that shootings would start when looting would start. The post was left unfazed, with no reaction from the company. This outraged the employees.

Several of these employees expressed how the post was against their safety guidelines, as it promoted violence. That’s where Facebook’s Chief Product Officer stepped in as a beacon of hope and understanding. On that very day, Cox came into the firm’s employee resource, which is made for black employees. He then posted one note in that group, telling his employees of color that he was and would be there for them and felt for all of them as well. He was the one at that point who understood the tune of the community and how they felt in those moments. One of the ex-employees said that they were assured about FB’s leadership due to that message and arrival.

Chris Cox’s History With Facebook

Cox had a departure from Facebook back in 2019, in the month of March. He is known as one of the earliest workers at the tech-giant. But he left the company when Zuckerberg announced to emphasize the messenger’s messages to privacy by encrypting them. Before that, Cox had worked there for over 13 years. But he spent the time away well, helping raise his children and focus on some social issues.

Cox has been working with OneGoal since 2017. He worked with them to make sure that everyone is getting secondary education. He also has played music in a band called Rafa that plays Reggae music.

Several employees have called him the heart of the company since Zuckerberg is their brain.
