GoPro, the giant camera firm, has now relaunched its official application for smartphones, Quik. The new version of the software is set to be released by the tech giant.
GoPro’s Quik will also be relaunching with brand-new features. And it’s safe to say that the advancement may just be worth it. Nick Woodman, the Chief Executive Officer of GoPro, weighed in on the newly revised application.
GoPro’s Quik— Then And Now
If you are familiar with the software tactics, you may remember the 2016 software named Quik as well. The application then mainly was about editing videos to beats. But that will no longer see the light of day. As of now, the new application has replaced the older one.
A feature named ‘mural’ is introduced in the new version of Quik. It is like a mini verse of Instagram for every capture in the application. Whether the captures are from a GoPro or not. And the video editing feature remains in the new version of the app as well
But there are some paid features too. Themes, filters, editing features also are together charged about 1.99 dollars monthly. By could be bought for 9.99 dollars per annum. If people do not wish to pay for anything, they have the free control side and camera connection. If you already use GoPro Plus paid services, the Quik is Free!
By this, the Chief Executive Officer also said that they are expanding their audience beyond the GoPro users. He also sees all of it as a great opportunity. He further added that even the previous application had the same motto. It had over 8 million users monthly!
“Albums suck,” said Woodman. He added that albums are nothing more than “miniature” camera rolls. And said that they do not feel like getting into some “experience.”
