Honor Magic VS Prototype Unveiled With A Brief Review

The Magic VS, which will be released in a few international regions at the beginning of 2023, is the company’s second folding mobile phone but the first to be sold outside of China. Since the Magic V, Honor’s first folder, was initially published at the beginning of 2022, this feels more like a polish than an advancement of the previous design.

The main modification is a new hinge with much fewer parts to increase reliability. The manufacturer also guarantees that the device will resist 400,000 folds, or 100 more each day, for over a decade.

Specific Features Of Honor Magic VS Summed Up

The Honor Magic VS and Magic V’s remaining differences are all relatively minor, such as the 5,000 mAh battery, which is an increase from the previous model’s 4,750 mAh. One significant upgrade on the imaging front is the replacement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with the Snapdragon 8+. The Honor Magic VS substituted an 8-megapixel, 3x optical zoom, f/2.4 for the third of the V’s three 50-megapixel lenses. But the effectiveness of those robust zoom lenses needs to be clearly reviewed.

The 6.45-inch external OLED panel is no wimp in displays, especially considering that it offers a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. For most smartphone use, Honor is aware that most users would opt for the external display, so it nearly comes as second nature here.

The speed of the camera face unlock or the fingerprint sensor positioned on the power button cannot be inferred. A Snapdragon 8+ phone shouldn’t stutter, particularly when it has 12GB of storage, as it does in the case of the Honor Magic VS . Honor sent detailed guidance not to test the smartphone’s app performance, but that can’t be possible considering how poorly this mobile handles what comes pre-loaded.
