Square Enix recently utilized a Sunday evening event in Japan to introduce two new Kingdom Hearts titles, one of which being Kingdom Hearts 4, as part of the series’ 20th-anniversary festivities.
Live music, artwork displays, and “on-stage visits by Series Director Tetsuya Nomura, series’ composer Yoko Shimomura, and other development members” were all part of the Tokyo show. The major news, though, was the unveiling of Kingdom Hearts 4, as well as the introduction of yet another new Kingdom Hearts game, this time for mobile. The Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link is the first new game, and its trailer spans from 1:53 to 4:05. It will be available in a restricted beta for iOS and Android later this year, but only in “certain places.”
Kingdom Hearts 4 Has Fans Excited
Following that, comes the Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer, which contains the usual mix of Square Enix and Disney characters, but this time “set in a stunning, realistic environment unlike anything ever been seen in the KINGDOM HEARTS franchise.” Sora makes a triumphant comeback in the announcement video, with an updated look at the start of a legendary new tale dubbed the “Lost Master Arc.”
Players are introduced to the Quadratum, a massive, expansive metropolis established in a magnificent, realistic setting unlike anything seen previously in Kingdom Hearts series, with Sora facing off against a giant opponent in a boss encounter. The reappearance of Sora’s well-known buddies Donald and Goofy, as well as the debut of Strelitzia.
Strelitzia is a new mystery figure that comes before Sora in this bizarre new location, which will delight fans. Fans may also look forward to KINGDOM HEARTS Missing-Link, an all-new iOS and Android game that allows players to embark on adventures outside of the realm of Scala ad Caelum. Players will be able to fight the Heartless in thrilling combat and learn about a new, unique plot. In 2022, a limited beta test will be held.
