macOS Sequoia 15.3 Beta 2 Released: What You Need to Know

After a brief lull during the holiday season, Apple has released the second beta of macOS Sequoia 15.3. Currently, this update is accessible exclusively to developers and is being rolled out gradually.

Key Feature of macOS 15.3: Introduction of Genmoji

The initial beta of macOS Sequoia 15.3 debuted in December, following the public release of macOS 15.2, which came with significant Apple Intelligence enhancements.

Among the highlights of the first beta for 15.3 was the introduction of Genmoji support.

While Apple introduced the Genmoji AI feature in iOS and iPadOS 18.2, it was initially missing from the Mac platform.

Luckily, Mac users won’t have to wait long for their own Genmoji feature; it’s now available in beta, with the public rollout of 15.3 anticipated within a month.

What to Anticipate from Beta 2 and Installation Instructions

Aside from Genmoji, macOS 15.3 beta 1 didn’t showcase many other changes. It’s plausible that Apple opted to hold back major updates since beta 1 launched just before the holiday period.

Nevertheless, if Apple adheres to the pattern of the previous year’s software updates, this may turn out to be a smaller-than-usual release.

We’ll keep you updated as we explore beta 2 for any new discoveries.

To install the latest beta, navigate to the Software Update section within your Mac’s System Settings app.

Ensure that beta updates are enabled, and that you are set to receive developer beta releases.
