Xbox Live Gold Price To See A Rise As Reported By Microsoft

Microsoft will reportedly increase the price of the Xbox Live Gold subscription shortly. Microsoft has stated that it has already started to send notifications to the existing users about the new price.

Microsoft has informed that the price of the device will rise by around $10.99 per month in the United States and $5 for the three-month membership. The price for six-month and twelve-month membership will also increase but it won’t make any difference for the existing users.

New Price Details Of Xbox Live Gold

The price will be $29.99 for a three-month subscription and $59.99 for a six-month subscription. It is reported that the Xbox Live Gold members can now turn their remaining Xbox Live Gold into Xbox Game Pass Unlimited and no extra cost is needed for the conversion.

While Microsoft’s Xbox continues to be greatly popular among players, the price hike is now being largely discussed. While Sony is still offering a 12-month subscription to PlayStation at $60, Microsoft discarded its $60 subscription last year.

Though the motive behind the price hike is still unclear, many assume that Microsoft intends to move Xbox Live Subscribers into the direction of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Pass includes Xbox access and XCloud streaming. The Ultimate Pass also lets the users enjoy more than 100 games.

The price rise for Xbox is making many players upset but Microsoft has stated that it is the first price hike for Xbox Live Gold users in more than ten years. Microsoft has confirmed that official notification will be sent to all the users around the world. The altered price will be effective for the users at least 45 days after they receive the notification.
