The Motorola Moto G100 was unveiled recently. The phone is an addition to the company’s Moto G series. Motorola had begun invitations since the beginning of the month. It has finally been made official.
As experts had expected, the Moto G100 is a rebranding of Motorola’s Edge S. The Edge S had already been launched earlier in China. The focus of Motorola’s Moto G series has primarily been the mid-tier budget segment. However, with the Moto G100, the company is bringing out a premium phone that has performance on par with a flagship model.
Specifications Of The Moto G100
The recently released Snapdragon 870 chip from Qualcomm will be powering the model. The 870 is a slightly upgraded version of last year’s Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865. The choice also makes Motorola’s Moto G100 a first in the G series that features a processor that from the Snapdragon 800 family.
The phone will also come with 8GB Ram and internal storage of 128GB. The internal storage can be further expanded with an additional microSD card. The display measure 6.7 inches. It has a full-HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It also has support for HDR10.
In the display’s top-left corner, two holes are present that houses the two front cameras. The primary one is 16MP wide while the secondary is an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The back has four cameras grouped in the shape of a square. There are two LED flashes beneath it. Another ring flash is present surrounding the 16MP ultra-wide camera. The camera supports macro photography. The main camera is a 64MP one.
The Moto G100 packs a battery capacity of 5000 mAh. It has fast charging, default Android 11, 5G connectivity, a fingerprint scanner on the side, a button for Google Assistant, and a headphone jack. It will also ship with the Motorola “Ready For” which can make it a portable desktop computer.
The phone has a price tag of about £449.99.
