NASA Perseverance Rover To Land On Mars On 8th Feb

The 2020 Mars Perseverance Rover Mission of NASA is all set to complete its journey of 470.8 million kilometers within the next month itself.

The Perseverance Rover is scheduled to land on Mars on the 18th of February 2021. The rover was launched on 30th July 2020. The rover is at present nearing its destination as it is 2.5 kilometers per-second way for Mars landing. This was reported by NASA.

Mars Rover Of NASA Inches Closer

NASA’s Perseverance Rover for Mars is inching closer to its destination. Once at the top of the atmosphere of the Red Planet, the rover will go through an action-packed 7 seven minutes before it can finally begin to descend.

The rover has to be fully prepared for the temperatures equivalent to the Sun’s surface along with supersonic parachute inflation as well as the 1st ever independent guiding landing on the planet of Mars.

Only after this can NASA’s rover look for signs of the Jezero Crater which has indications of ancient life as well as collect samples that will finally return to the planet Earth.

Thomas Zurbuchen is the associate administrator of the Science Mission of NASA. He has informed them that they have been exploring the Red Planet since the Mariner 4 had performed flybys along with 7 successful orbiters as well as 8 landers.

The Jezero Crater is considered to be the ideal place to look for signs of old microbial life. Several billions of years back the presently 45-kilometer dry wide basin has been the home to an actively shaping river delta as well as a lake filled with water.
