In a new video released on Wednesday, the Pokémon Company and creator Game Freak provided enthusiasts a fresh look at the very next titles in the series, Scarlet and Violet, which showed off new Pokémon, the open-world games’ new territory, and a release date of 2022.
They announced Wednesday that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be released for Nintendo Switch on November 18th. The games will transport players to a new, as yet unidentified location, where they will encounter both old and new characters, including the recently announced Lechonk, Smoliv, and Pawmi. A new teaser has announced that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will indeed be released on November 18.
Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Have New Characters And Locations
For the first time, the game will have an open-world framework and a four-player co-op.
The trailer depicts much of the environment of the next mainstream game and features two new legendary monsters: Koraidon (who debuts in Scarlet) and Miraodon (in Violet). “These two are said to have powers that far exceed those of other Pokémon,” according to a characterization on the webpage, “but specifics about Koraidon and Miraidon are still kept in the dark.”
According to a news release, Scarlet and Violet will also include multiplayer gameplay for up to four players. This involves trading and battles, as well as the multiplayer discovery of “different locales across the territory” in these games. In February, the Company revealed the next generation of games, including a brand-new setting and the charming new Generation 9 protagonists Fuecoco, Sprigatito, and Quaxly. Ever since The Company has kept a low profile when it comes to Scarlet and Violet.
