Reddit Working On A Voice Chat Feature That Is Clubhouse-like

Recently Reddit has been testing their voice chats that are moderator supported during the initial stages. The clubhouse app is considered as the next TikTok owing to the reason that many of the popular companies are now adopting the new audio chat-room concept.

Although this feature is still in its nascent stage, if this feature successfully manages to be implemented, there are huge chances that it will be rolled out by Reddit. This banner is an initiative that was launched by the company last year in order to experiment with a few forthcoming subscription-related features that are eligible for individual subreddits.

New Chatroom Feature To Roll Out By Reddit

Reddit had made an initial public announcement where they listed numerous examples of such features known as power-ups. This also included the ability to upload as well as streaming videos on HD quality. Other special abilities are doubling the limit of video files, commenting using online available GIFs, and many others.

Subreddits will be able to unlock such perks following an increased monthly purchase of power-up subscriptions by members. Additionally, the minimum limit for every community is determined by their size.

In August when the firm made the announcement, they made it clear that their new experiment will be helping in creating a structure that enables them to add advanced features. They are beginning with a few specialized features and hoping to add additional input from customers and communities which have opted for their early testing.

Clubhouse has also inspired numerous copycats from the introduction in 2020 March with TikTok, Slack, LinkedIn, and Twitter’s parent company named Bytedance. They are also rushing to come up with their own chat-room features.
