The video game studio comedy Mythic Quest is back today for its fourth season on Apple TV+. The show stars Rob McElhenney as Ian, an unconventional game producer, alongside his team as they navigate their way through the challenges of staying relevant in the competitive gaming industry.
Since its debut in February 2020, Mythic Quest has become Apple’s longest-running comedy series. While a renewal for a fifth season hasn’t been officially announced yet, the platform is set to introduce a spin-off series and has started releasing trailers.
The spin-off, humorously named Side Quest, is currently being promoted through trailers on the Apple TV+ app when watching Mythic Quest. Expect the trailer to be available on YouTube very soon.
Side Quest expands the universe of Mythic Quest with a four-part anthology that offers a mix of dramatic stories, showcasing the influence of video games on their players. It builds upon the success of the standalone episodes like A Dark Quiet Death and Backstory, which garnered critical acclaim.
The premiere date for Side Quest is March 26, with all four episodes releasing simultaneously on that date.
Additionally, Mythic Quest season four launches today with its first two episodes. The rest of the season will be released weekly, culminating in the tenth episode on March 26. This allows fans to watch Side Quest before the Mythic Quest finale.
Both Mythic Quest and Side Quest are exclusive to Apple TV+. You can view them using the Apple TV app on devices such as iPhone, iPad, Mac, Amazon Fire Stick, Roku, PlayStation, Xbox, and more. Android users can access it via the web at tv.apple.com.
